Over recent months there have been enquiries at several levels into the catastrophic fires from the past summer, two of these enquiries have now released interim reports, the Commonwealth Governments Bushfire Royal Commission and the NSW State enquiry. Both of these enquiries have included findings regarding the communications issues and hopefully this will lead to better investment and management of the communications networks in the future. Both enquiries have highlighted issues regarding communications, interoperability and public safety mobile broadband, areas which or members can offer advice and assistance.
