ARCIA State Industry Advancement Awards
In addition to the Industry Excellence Awards, ARCIA presents a State Industry Advancement of the Year Award at each of the state capital city dinners in Perth, Sydney, Brisbane and Adelaide.
State award winners each receive a trophy, along with an invitation to attend the Industry Gala dinner and Excellence Awards held in Melbourne in conjunction with Comms Connect, where they automatically become the nominees for the national ‘Peter Wallace Industry Advancement Award”. As with the Industry Excellence Awards, anyone can nominate, but nominees must be current financial members of ARCIA, either individually or via the organisation they work for.
Nominees for the State Industry Advancement Awards operate within radio and critical communications sector, either as industry personnel or as representatives from major professional users, technical or educational institutions or, they have contributed to the benefit of the wider industry in different ways.
Some of the areas for consideration could include:
- Significant contribution to the radio and critical communications community
- An apprentice or new talent who has shown exceptional skills, achievements or dedication in their workplace
- Innovation that provides increased opportunity or adds value to the radio and critical communications community
- Initiatives in training or similar areas that benefit the industry and critical communications users within the state
