We understand that some of our members will be trying to navigate through the business shut-downs and maintaining staff levels over the coming months so the ARCIA committee have decided to defer renewals of our memberships and partnerships which would normally be due in July. Similarly, the annual Sydney, Brisbane and Adelaide industry dinners and networking events have been regrettably cancelled for this year.

With the relative success of the combined actions of our Australian Government and respective State Governments in managing the pandemic, we are now reasonably confident that the Industry Gala Dinner in Melbourne will be able to go ahead in November. Although a little too early to make any final plans, we are now looking at options to host the event in a new area of the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre (MCEC) as a bright new change. Within the limits of conservative expense we will be trying to bring you an event that is big and bright and showing our industry has a great future.

Also we are reminding our members that if you or your clients are having difficulties in paying for ACMA licence renewals the ACMA are offering some options to help out. Details can be found on the ACMA website. It is important that licensees follow the instructions as non-payment of any invoices will mean the licences will be cancelled and when the client wants to start and use equipment again is is possible that the same frequencies may not be available. Please check with your clients and your own networks.
