The latest Covid-19 restrictions in Victoria have seen all of the greater Melbourne area put into stage 3 restrictions until late August. This will create some issues for our markets going ahead. With the borders between Victoria and South Australia now closed there are already some difficulties showing up. One Melbourne industry member applied for a permit to do critical maintenance work on a communications system in Southern NSW. The permit was approved but the member would have to do a 14-day isolation period immediately on crossing the border and before doing the work. ARCIA members in Victoria should think ahead to cover any interstate travel requirements that may arise.
