Congratulations to Evan Heath, Winner of the SA State Industry Advancement Award!
At last Wednesday’s SA Dinner, we were thrilled to announce Evan Heath as this year’s recipient of the South Australian State Industry Advancement Award. Evan is a long-term contributor to the radio communications industry, dating back to September 2004, when he was an information Systems Advanced Technician in the Australian Army Defence Force, gaining qualifications from the Defence Force School of Signals.
Having moved to roles at AWA and then Motorola, Evan’s focus was P25 and 000 Call Operations. In 2016 Evan started a role with the South Australian Metropolitan Fire Service, as a Communications Electronics Technician and the following year was promoted to Manager, Technical Communications at SAMFS, which is his current role.
Evan is focused on and dedicated to ensuring the MFS emergency responders have access to reliable critical communications solutions, enabling them to respond quickly while on the ground fighting fires or responding to HAZMAT and vehicle incidents, via their lifesaving communications.
Congratulations once again, Evan! Evan will automatically be entered into the running for the national ‘Peter Wallace Industry Advancement Award’, competing against other state winners. The national award will be announced at the ARCIA Gala Dinner in Melbourne on October 16, 2024.
