Highlights From the South Australia Networking Event.

The 2017 South Australian Industry Dinner and Networking Event was held at the National Wine Centre on Thursday, October 5.  It was a great opportunity for suppliers and customers to gather and discuss what has been happening in the radio communications industry. Aside from enjoying some of South Australia’s finest wine and food, attendees got to listen to a presentation by Dean Calvert who is the founder, owner and Managing Director of Calvert Technologies.  Dean presented his views on how technology has evolved over the years and where it is going, he placed

Aside from enjoying some of South Australia’s finest wine and food, attendees got to listen to a presentation by Dean Calvert who is the founder, owner and Managing Director of Calvert Technologies.  Dean presented his views on how technology has evolved over the years and where it is going, he placed strong emphasis on the internet of things which was refreshing and resulted in guests asking a few questions.

The South Australian Industry Professional of the Year award went to Rod Dowling for his involvement with the Government Radio Network and all his contributions to the radio communications industry over the years.  Rod was rather surprised when he was announced the winner but was proud and honoured to be given such an award.  In contrast to previous years, there were three door prizes resulting in three happy winners from Kenwood, Nova Systems and Simoco.  It was a great night, everyone enjoyed the food, wine and festivities!
