Members and Industry Professional Connect in Melbourne.

The Melbourne Sundowner, held on 20 October 2016 at the Groove Train Cafe in Burwood, was an excellent opportunity for our members to connect with other industry professionals in Melbourne. About 30 personnel from various industry segments attended the networking event.

At the Sundowner the ARCIA Industry Professional of the Year award for the Victorian / Tasmanian region was awarded to Tony Biddiscombe.

Tony established his business, Commsite Integrated Communications, only a few short years ago and now has over thirty employees, including two apprentices so he is supporting both his local community as well as our industry. Tony’s business provides radio communications systems, as well as being involved in almost all aspects of electronics and communications in his area, a trend common to many of the successful businesses in our industry. The old adage of adapting to immediate market changes and moving with demand again shows to be the strength.

As the Victorian / Tasmania winner Tony will now go into the judging for the Industry Excellence Awards at the ARCIA Industry Gala Dinner in Melbourne on Wednesday 23rd November, for the chance to win the prestigious Peter Wallace award.
