Commonwealth JobTrainer program

The Commonwealth Government recently announced another initiative to try and get the economy moving as we come out of the economic recession as a result of the pandemic. The JobTrainer program is designed to increase the training opportunities to give a boost to industries and have trained staff ready to go as the economy improves. On behalf of the radio/wireless communications industry we have written to the Minister for Employment, Skills, Small and Family Business (Senator Cash) highlighting the issues our industry has with technical training. We have highlighted that the industry has no possibility of having TAFE training for apprentices and technicians under the current arrangements.
