ARCIA Supports ACMA Action on Illegal Radiocommunication Devices
ARCIA welcomes the ACMA’s continued efforts to reduce the online sale of non-compliant and illegal radiocommunications devices, which can interfere with critical communications networks and even impact access to emergency services.
The latest ACMA audit found a 69% reduction in illegal and non-compliant device listings since the 2024–25 audit, highlighting the success of ongoing industry collaboration, education and compliance initiatives.
ARCIA supports the ACMA’s work to improve equipment compliance and encourages online platforms supplying communications devices to join the Equipment Safety Pledge, helping to protect the integrity of Australia’s communications networks and the safety of the community.
