ACMA Meeting Updates.

On 16 March, ARCIA hosted an event for members to meet with and hear from the Field Operations team from the ACMA. The ACMA did a presentation on the ACMA areas where compliance activities will take place and an overview on the issues they have come across over the past twelve months including mobile phone repeaters, illegal import radios, incorrectly licenced DGPS systems and others.

Jim Simpson, ARCIA Vice President, presented on what ARCIA is currently working on for its members. The discussion on field technicians and what is being done to enable future training courses with relevant content was a key topic of interest.

The event was well attended by more than 25 ARCIA members from various dealers from South East Queensland and the presentations were well received by all who attended. Thanks also to ARCIA Committee Member Denis Colbourne for facilitating the meeting.
