Congratulations to Nathan Leonard, Winner of the VIC Professional of the Year Award!
Last night ARCIA hosted the Victorian Sundowner for 2025 where we were thrilled to announce Nathan Leonard as this year’s recipient of the VIC State Professional of the Year Award
Nathan started in the radio industry in 2004 as an assembly worker for an equipment manufacturer. In 2012 he was awarded the ARCIA apprentice of the year award and since then has worked his way up through the organisation to now be a production manager, leading a team of people manufacturing equipment that is used globally in mission critical radio networks.
Nathan’s enthusiasm to continually strive to meet customer expectations in regards to shipping dates and product quality has gained the respect of his peers. Having recently managed the delivery of multiple large scale projects for both domestic and export opportunities, Nathan has continued to provide valuable insight from his knowledge of manufacturing to improve workflow processes to reduce lead times as well as production volumes which has lead to increased efficiencies in the workplace.
Nathan is an unsung hero of the industry who works tirelessly in the background to make sure that mission critical radio networks can be built using local Australian manufactured products.
Congratulations to Nathan!
Nathan will automatically be entered into the running for the National Outstanding Professional of the Year Award, competing against other state winners. The national award will be announced at the ARCIA Gala Dinner in Melbourne on October 15, held in conjunction with Comms Connect.
Next in line is Queensland with the Brisbane Conference and the QLD State Networking Dinner on 24 July. Don’t forget—nominations close 27 June! Now’s the time to recognise someone deserving by submitting your award nomination. Nominate now >>
A special thanks to all our partners— ARCIA can’t deliver these networking events for the radio and critical communications sector without you.
