Well attended Winter Social in Melbourne
This 20 June saw the latest ARCIA Sundowner take place, this time at The Rouge Squire, Wheelers Hill.
These informal gatherings continue to prove popular, with about 40 ARCIA members and Partners present for the evening, making the most of the opportunity to catch up for the first time in a few months for many, some longer, over a drink and a bite to eat. 
The VIC State Industry Advancement Award was also presented on this evening, with even the recipient unaware who was being spoken about until his name was read out. The surprise, perhaps shock on Matt Gibson’s face, that soon turned into a big smile, was great to see as he accepted the award and said a few words.
Matt’s nomination was glowing in his support, and read:
“Over the many years I have known Matt, he has always been diligent in his work, holding himself to the highest standards and industry practices. He is committed and ethical and offers first class client support, going above the requirements of his role, taking the time to not just help solve clients’ problems, but to also impart knowledge and teach those around him to a level rarely seen within our industry, be that to clients or anyone who needs assistance.”
Matthew was also recognised as being a true gentlemen of the industry, who promotes and develops the communications sector in every way he can, on a regular and consistent basis.
Congratulations, Matt! Matt will automatically be entered into the national ‘Peter Wallace Industry Advancement Award’, against other state winners, to be announced at the ARCIA Gala Dinner in Melbourne on 16 October 2024.
